Skimming walls and ceilings in Newcastle
A skim coat is a thin layer of finishing plaster applied over an existing surface, and it is one of the quickest ways to transform a tired room. At V&D Plastering & Painting we skim walls and ceilings across Newcastle upon Tyne, leaving a smooth, even surface that is ready for paint or wallpaper.
Why homeowners choose skimming
Over time walls can become uneven, cracked, patchy or marked from old wallpaper and previous repairs. Skimming covers those problems and gives you a clean, consistent base, so your decorating looks its best. It is also a popular choice after rewiring or other building work.
Careful and tidy
We use dust sheets to protect your floors and belongings and we clear up when the job is done. Our customers often mention how clean we leave their home and how smooth the finish is.
